I still think the easiest way for the USPS to streamline a little bit and save personnel costs would be to have home delivery 3 days a week. one half of people get M,W,F delivery. the other half T,Th,Sat by the same delivery personnel.
if you need it quicker, get a mail box, special delivery, or some upgraded service for more $$$.
if you want a fast letter, email it.
