I'm pretty sure the post office only forwards magazines for 2 months. Anything longer than that, you're supposed to get in touch with the publisher and tell them the new (even if temporary) address.
It sounds like you live on a route that doesn't have a regular carrier, or if it has a regular, he's a pretty lousy carrier.
Do you get mail delivered by a post office carrier or a rural carrier?
