We spend the winter in the Phoenix area every year. We always have our mail temporarily forwarded to us, but this year after 2 tries and 2 contacts with our local PO we could not have any mail forwarded. We live in norther CA and all of the forwarded mail is sent to southern CA to be sent on. The PO down there took it upon themselves, in both instances, to decide that we really didn't need our mail forwarded. They returned all of the mail to our local PO where it was delivered it to our house. Fortunately our neighbors picked it up for us. My wife has medications delivered to our house: luckily she had a supply built up and didn't need them, but some our bills went unpaid.
