A clean engine is a happy engine!

I'm with you there! If you can, avoid spraying large amounts of cold water directly on hot exhaust manifolds/turbos etc. Electronics, fuse boxes, and relays (etc.) generally like being/staying as dry as possible but an occasional shower won't hurt anything.
