I have seen a lot of vehicles with clean engines, some even looked detailed and when you look at the underside they are a verytable grease pit.

I do stop at a car wash form time to time and blast off the undercarriage. Just a rinse really, I don't hit gasket sealed area's, u-joints, etc. with high pressure.
