A positive thread, post yours

Just got back from two weeks camping.
No one cut through my site.
No dogs took a dump (other then mine) on my site.
No loud campers, the only noise at night was the Loones.
No break down of the RV or truck.
Had lots of good food and drink and good friends.
I had a darn good time.

    1) No one corrected my grammar, punctuation or spelling!

    3) No one told me that my Maxxis tires suck.
    4) No one said that I needed to get rid of my hitch because it was unsafe.
    5) No one scolded me about overnight parking at WalMart

Yep, it's been a good week!

Must have been a slow weekend. Don't worry, it'll happen soon.
  • Went camping Labor Day weekend. Not one negative experience. One of the neighbor's dogs came over to say 'hi' and the neighbor camper started to apologize and I said to keep that apology for passing gas in church; not for a friendly dog saying 'hi'. It added to the experience, it did not take away from it.
  • We just got back from 3 weeks in Idaho. Weather was fantastic, people were friendly, and no incidents travelling. OK, our 10 hour trip back to Canada became 15 hours when Lolo Pass was closed due to forest fires, but heck, the countryside is so beautiful there that it just gave us more of gorgeous ID and MT to see. As an added bonus, our 'detour' took us over White Bird Hill and Lewiston Hill so I had a chance to see how the TV handled the grades. Turns out the truck didn't even notice the hills. There's my positive story.

  • we've been rv-ing since 1999, and I can't recall anything bad enough to ruin my day or weekend.
maybe it's just hard to get us riled. :)

No, It was 900 miles from my back yard.
  • I've never had a bad trip in the RV since 2003. Never had a breakdown. Flat tire on the toad once, but I was in the CG already. Bad traffic in Atlanta, but no surprise. A couple of things I've seen were mildly disappointing but the rest met or exceeded my expectations.
One CG in Colorado scared me a little because there was nobody there - not even in the office, so I went on down the road. Never ran into somebody camping in a CG or running one that was a grouch. Met a couple grouches that worked in places I visited, but it wasn't personal. I've met more than that in my home town. I've had a few bad meals, but they were five stars compared to hotel food or airline food when I was traveling for work before retirement.
Hope I can do it for another 10 years or more.
  • How much will it cost for you to tell me the location of this little piece of heaven?
