A T& T and Verizon

I have both at least until my Mellenicom is cut off. Verizon is my primary and ATT for backup. What i've found is performance is better on Verizon. Latency has been the primary differentiator between both carriers. On average VZW is 30-40ms faster over ATT to my standard test location (80ms vs 120ms). While 40 milliseconds isn't much outside the digital world it's certainly noticeable with the interactive application I use for work. I've had service on both carriers almost everywhere with the exception of Central Iowa where ATT was non existent. I've only had one occasion where I switched my primary to ATT due to significant lower latency over Verizon.

If I were the normal internet user that browses the web and sends email I probably wouldn't notice much difference between the two carriers but latency sensitive applications will perform better on Verizon. At least if you travel where I do.
