No he's saying don't let your emotions into the decision. While we understand the OP was anxious to complete the deal. That excitement/anxiousness may had led the OP to accept a deal and a price that had changed. Anxiousness may have clouded the OP's judgement.

We have stated this before, we have never bought something we didn't want.
That said we never wanted it so bad, that we got taken and paid more than we should have. I hope the OP learns that the power of the deal is really with the buyer, the salesperson really wants to make the sale, they will bend a lot before they flat refuse to bend any more.
