You could play that both ways.
No contract means no obligation whatsoever to pay for the completely different model. Refund of deposit, and walk away.
Actually he can't.
He took possession, probably signed papers at the dealership and thus has an obligation to pay. Outside of his states' lemon law,(don't know if they apply to TTs/5th wheels) has no recourse in the stated circumstances.
On the other hand the OP says he's happy with his new RV.
