We have a GM Vandura 2500 purchased new in 1992, with 270 000 km on it now. Still going very well. It pulled a popup tent trailer for about 18 summers and I drove it to work for a few years. The major repairs started about 4 years ago - heater core, then water pump and alternator. Never had transmission or engine problems. That van only saw the inside of a garage once, right at the end of its extended warranty when it got a whining noise in the rear end that cost GM a badly inflated $1000.
