Abusing

What policy is he abusing? His shower didn't last more than 1 night. I would never do such as that and think it is kind of off but don't see it as abusing any Walmart policy.

It likely does violate some made up rules of etiquette that have been posted all over the internet...

Really I'm off by thinking showering in WallMart's parking lot is not abuse? Ok, maybe I am. I wouldn't want my kids to see a man showering in my WallMart's parking lot. Not sure anyone would.

What about the grey water he is dumping? Granted it is not that much but does that mean I can just dump my grey in the parking lot too?

I believe it is people like this that mess it up for everyone else that wants or needs to stop over at Wally World. It is abuse in my book.

I don't see this as a "great new idea" - campers have been doing it for ages. As for doing it in a Walmart parking lot, I personally think it's a bit tacky, looks more like he's peeing than showering - but I don't think it's a big bad terrible thing. Somehow I doubt he's standing around flashing himself to all the little kiddies.

That's Walmart's policy. It doesn't mention camping and/or taking a shower in the parking lot. Depending on what state he is in, what he is doing (dumping grey water) I believe could be considered illegal. Plus he is technically nude in public since he is not inside the van.

Heck I used one of those Solar Showers to clean up after offroading all day in all kinds of places. Even in a dump near San Felipe Mexico.
I don't see any problem with it and as long as he wasn't exposed. I don't think it creates a negative image for those folks who use Walmart lots for overnight stays. Based on how and where he was parked no one was able to see what he was doing.

Some people feel as long as it doesn't "SPECIFICALLY" say you can't do something, then it is okay to do it.

Are we to the point now that we have to list every single possible infraction of the rules? Is that why there are silly signs everywhere? WalMart has to post a sign that says "NO Showering in parking lot"? LOL

Maybe the people who don't think it's abuse will invite campers to take showers in their driveway or backyard?

That would get the campers/showers out of WalMart. :)
