Do NOT get all focused on your AC being broke and needing
I used my AC for 6 years in the Midwestern states with no problem....then....I went to Florida.:(
Here is what I have learned from my 'Floridian' RV mobile guy about AC's freezing up. They are not necessarily broke.
1. Get the coils cleaned. In humid weather states in the summer months green mold grows on those coils and pine tree pollen and everything sticks to that. Cleaning coils will become a regular maintenance.
2. Take the inside filter down and clean regularly.
3. Keep the fan on 'low' during really hot days. It can freeze up on those extreme hot days with fan on high.
4. You can add a small portable DE-humidifier to assist your AC. Adding this made a BIG BIG difference in my MH on those 95+ days.
RV'ing in the South was a big learning curve for me after years of trouble free RV'ing in the Midwest.
