Window unit style AC

There should be a pan under it to direct the water out the side as long as you're reasonably level. Perhaps it's not caulked well? The pan should also be bent over the outside (but inside the trim, so you can't see it), so water doesn't go down the inside of the wall. Yes, that would be a warranty issue, if it's not draining properly, you could end up with rotted wood framing/floor (not sure of the construction of your unit).

Thanks, thats what i figured. From what ive been reading im dreading taking it back into the dealer for warranty work. Hopefully i can band-aid it for the next couple trips.

Window A/C need to be mounted with a slight decline toward the outside to ensure the water drip there and not on the inside !

Exactly, SOP is half a bubble on a level (after the unit is levelled at the site.

The drip pan should have an outlet or hose to drain to outside. Insects love them. Build nests and pan overflows. Worth a try.

"Window" A/C units are a "High Efficiency" type of A/C.

This type of A/C DEPENDS ON WATER IN THE PAN, it uses the fan wheel on the outside to "splash" water from the condensate in the pan on the outside fins. This increases cooling capacity considerably without using more energy.

Many window air units do not have a "plug" or "drain" because of the water slinging and evaporation.

Because of this, you MUST ensure the A/C unit has ENOUGH slant to the outside. Since you can't adjust that unit like you would in a window you must make sure your trailer is level or slants slightly in favor of the outside of the A/C unit.

I should mention that since many window A/Cs may not have a plug that the OP may wish to empty the A/C pan by putting down a 2X6 on the opposite side of the trailer and driving over the board. This would help slosh some of the condensate out of the pan on the outside of the trailer..

IF the OPs A/C does have a plug, PULL IT BEFORE MOVING THE TRAILER..

Should be obvious as to why one would wish to empty the condensate before towing.

But if one can't figure that out, it is so you don't accidentally slosh the condensate INSIDE the trailer.

Back in the day; when they first came out with this idea; and I still had a window unit, it worked like ****. I drilled a few holes (carefully) in the upper bottom (outside) of the unit to let some of the water out. No more dripping into the house after that.

I hope by now that they have gotten it better. If not the it is something for the OP to consider.

I will have to try driving up on a 2/4 or something next time. Sounds like a good idea.
