One other question that was not asked is "What was the ambient temperature and humidity level when the freeze up occured?" The original post states that it was set to 60 and froze up at 72. If the ambient temps were in the 90's, of course it will freeze at 72 - it will never make 60 degrees, given an RV's generally low R-value of insulation, combined with the high heat load. The run time for a 30 degree temperature drop would be way too long, and likely drop the suction pressure and evaporator temperature too low.
