AC unit freezing up.

It is possible that your temp probe that sticks into the evaporator coil fins has come out (pretty common). You need to remove the external AC cover and you will see a wire going to a probe that should be pressed into the fins. This probe tells the compressor to shut off momentarily till temp comes back up.

Have you checked for a dirty a/c filter? and if the coils are clean... sometime its simple stuff...

Freeze up is usually low freon or fan not working. If under warranty I would take it in for repair. I had one with a bad control module where fan would shut off when temp reached but compressor stayed on causing a freeze up condition
