I had the same problem with bath heat with the furnace heating the stool room and making it unbearable and requiring that rooms door to be open wnenever the furnace was on. I was able to tee off the duct and attach to a similar vent on the outside of the stool wall putting heat into the shower area and relieving the over heating in the stool room. The whole thing was not longer than 12".
On getting heat into your toy box area I would look at attaching to the furnace directly by removing a duct knockout. ( The factory never uses all of them) Go to the RV parts place and get the ring adaptor and clamps and enough flexible duct to go where you need to go in the back end. Do this as you suggested by not running outside but by staying inside and terminate with the appropriate register right where you want it. Probably a little bit more work but well worth it.
