You gave Vancouver as northern most destination...not that it really matters but are you talking Vancouver, Washington or Vancouver, BC?
It only would matter in this way...if you are talking Washington, I am hoping you are mapping to Astoria and then turning downhill. If you are talking BC, then when you turn south, you may wish to map via Olympia, then west to the coast and beginning there. The Washington coast is much different than Oregon's and California's and be a shame to miss it, being so close.
