Aftermarket Hitch and Pin Plug

I need a new hitch for my 2011 F250 to use a truss extension. I am looking at either a Curt or a Reese Titan.

I have seen a few on the road, and always the electrical plug is attached as an afterthought and looks shabby.

The etrailer video of the Reese Titan install completely ignores how to deal with the plug, or how to mount the plug to look factory.

The Ford factory hitch angles back and provides room for the plug, the Reese and Curt are straight, presenting a problem with how to mount the plug.

How has the forum dealt with this issue. Photos would be helpful. Thanks all.

Just make a short extension for the existing factory plug ... a truss extension is already going to look like an afterthought which it really is to being and will definitely not look factory to begin with so trying to dress up a pig is still going to look like a pig.:W

Just remember those extension have serious effects on what they can carry and pull so take that into account.
