Looking for a air compressor that i can inflate my trailer tires and truck tires while gone camping. one that i will not have to let recycle a few times before i can get 80 psi in my tires.

- No i do not unplug the compressor. most times i am thinking 5-10 lbs to keep them as close to 80 as possible.
- AAA has a good 12v compressor.
- It takes more pressure in the tank to get to 80 psi. So the "restart" sensor needs to cut in at a higher pressure. Mine is too low and max pressure is 120. I'd want to move to 150.

For inflating tires, the air storage is pretty much immaterial. I'd actually prefer a small storage tank on the compressor, so that it gets up to pressure more quickly. With a small enough tank (such as no tank at all), it's a single cycle that lasts for the entire operation.
I'm assuming you're leaving the compressor plugged in and turned on when inflating the tires, and not trying to fill the tank, unplug it, and move it to the tire to put some air in. - Might as well get one that will go up to 120 psi since you may want more pressure in the future if you go to bigger tires. A 100 psi compressor will work for 80 psi inflation. I bought a 120 psi PorterCable and am very happy with it. The HF compressors are okay, but you do get what you pay for with those. For occasional usage they are fine.

- My ViAir puts the cheapo units I previously purchased to shame. Get one that attaches directly to the battery with alligator clamps. Fantastic units.
