I bought a cheap Air Fryer that even has mechanical timer. I use the stove timer for events.
The dang thing does make good fries. I like that. What sold me on it was when I went to reheat a medium rare roast. I wrapped it in aluminum foil. And experimented with a high temperature. It came out great. Hot and not cooked like in a microwave. Just perfect medium rare. That was a surprise and a big selling point for me.
Tried Costco Calamari in it and was a hit at Christmas, Bacon wrapped water chestnut or scallops are fast cooking and simple to make. Frozen anything like fishsticks are great.
I have even done several flat iron stakes that turned out great.
My fryer is going into the camper oven for storage on the road. The thing is a convection oven on steroids. It just takes less time to get what you want
Clean up is just a wash down of the cooking an and the holding pan. Grease is minimal even when cooking a steake.
