We do, and I believe it's in the correct position but the instructions are not very clear. We have three valves under the bathroom sink - the top and bottom ones are parallel with the pipe (which I'm assuming means open), and the valve in between is perpendicular to the pipe, which I'm assuming means closed. I believe this is what the instructions say for non-winterized mode.
