Both systems are probably well engineered and will do the job. As an engineer I subscribe to the KISS principle on almost everything I buy. As an uncle of mine used to tell me, "the more you have the more worries you'll have".
The Ready Brake was the simplest solution I could find for what I needed, so it met my KISS principle requirements. I've towed my Wrangler with my Class B thru the Rockies twice without any problems and I've not seen any additional wear and tear on the Jeep brakes.
