I think your asking for trouble if you don't have a dash light tied to your toad brake.
You can buy an trailer adapter that plugs into the factory harness if you don't want to cut wires.
I have read so many threads about people with malfunctioning aux brake systems that burned toad brakes/tires and am surprised they didn't have a dash light.
