Here is an example of Hb's hubris.
"Manufacturer of the Trimetric, the only battery monitor to buy."
The Trimetric is not as accurate as the Victron, costs more than the Victron, and has a bigger footprint (three strikes and you are out). And of course, both the T and V are light years behind the Smartgauge, which is the only "meter" that gets more accurate with use, rather than drifting out of sync with the actual battery capacity.
Now, would a beginner be aware of the above? I highly doubt it. If you wish I can explain why the Victron is a better choice.
