I am hoping I will be able to keep it cleared off. I can't foresee a situation where I will not be here. I do not work so I am always home.
It should never have more than a few inches on it before I would have it cleared off.
I may also lower the outer wall some more to make a steeper slope.
I do have another option I am considering. I store 4 cord of wood in my garage. I may put the wood out here and put the pup in the garage. It just isn't ideal because I need this area to store the pup in the spring and it will never be as dry as the garage and it would be a pain to retrieve the wood all winter. But I could try it for this winter and if no problems arise I could put the pup under next year.
Thanks for the suggestions westend. My initial plan was to use plastic roofing panels but with wanting to remove the structure every spring I am sure the plastic panels would get busted. I may put posts next to the house but then it requires a lot of bracing to make it as sturdy as it is right now and there isn't room to put one in the center.
Hopefully I am not in for a bad awakening. Maybe the canoe will take all of the damage if I am wrong and if not I guess the new trailer is coming sooner than later.
