Clarify what happened to the trailer after getting struck by lightening. Were the elec parts fried? Just wondering because many that don't have any handyman skills take their trailers to dealers for work then complain why it took X amount of time, when in fact had they not left their trailer while waiting for parts they could've most times used the trailer. Or better yet fixed it themselves.
Not to discount the OP's post but it would be interesting to know why the dealer took so long.
Under normal circumstances would the brakes work if hit by lightening? Wondering. Freely admitting that my electric practical knowledge is minimal and plumbing skills only marginally better.
Knowing this I would gladly turn a vehicle over to professionals BUT hold them to a turn around time. In writing. Like others I wonder what role the insurance company had in the delay.
