I watched a guy the other day in a newer 40' class A start it up, come out with a coffee in one hand and a doughnut in the other and open his water compartment and start dumping. After dumping,he hooked his water hose to his black tank and went inside to pull his slides in.He then hooked his water hose to the grey rinse and headed for his car. That's when I asked him how long he was going to be running his engine,I was downwind, and he said that he was getting ready to hook up his car and leave.By this time he was up to over 1/2 hour on his idle time and I really felt that it was time for a short class on diesel warmups. I am a certified school bus driver trainer. Told him that he needed no more than 10 minutes warmup and really 5 was good. He told me that he had been told that he needed at least 30 minutes to really warm it up by the salesman and I gave up then. Oh and he still had the hose hooked up to the grey rinse valve. I went inside and thought about having a stiff drink.
Oh and after all that, he got the car hooked up,shut down the rig and he and momma headed for the bathrooms. Go figger.
