Your post assumes the giver of advice has a lock or at least know THE BETTER WAY to lead one's life. While I am sure you may not mean it that way, it may seem that way to others.
It is for this reason precisely that people should mind their own business.
It's the same kind of arrogance that leads religions to proselytize and evangelize to bring folks to the ONE TRUE GOD. Ie. The philosophy of: "I know better than you do" "I have a lock on the TRUTH"
I still think minding your own business is a vital part of a well functioning and civil society. And just plain good manners.
