"I'm sure that folks that work with hand tools for a living don't shop at Harbor Freight,..."
Don't bet the farm on that!
I drilled many thousands of holes in aircraft using a Harbor Freight 3/8" reversible air drill. Many times when I needed to modify a tool for a special purpose, I used a Harbor Freight tool. Why grind off a Snap-On tool when a HF will do the job much cheaper!
During my life of working with tools, the majority were Craftsman, with some Snap-on, MAC, Matco, Proto, etc. tossed in as needed. In fact, when the HF drill began to get weak, I traded it to the Snap-On guy for a Blue Point drill. In many ways, the HF tool was the better of the two. Smaller, lighter, more powerful, etc.
I think you would be surprised at the number of HF tools that can be found in the tool box of a professional. Especially since the cost of tools is, for all practical purposed, not tax deductible. Very few working people can afford to spend enough on tools to qualify for a tax deductions these days.
