- D_E_BishopExplorerOf course, but, the DW doesn't see any reason for washing the MoHo and the towed. Then again she doesn't think it's necessary to wash the car if we're going away for a weekend. I like to start of with a shower, clean skivvies and clean rigs. Just my submarine training I guess, you never knew when you would get to clean stuff on patrol.
- GreyghostExplorerI don't consider myself to be an anal person. I do however wax/polish my toys on a regular basis. The coach at the start and end of the season and after I arrive at a new temporary destination. I wax/polish the cars when they need it, about 6 time a year and the old ford tractor gets waxed at least twice a year. I also sweep the dirt that the dogs have brought into the coach each day as soon as I start seeing the crud on the floor.
I know that I'm not anal but my SIL has stated that it's not really fun camping with Felix Unger. She said that after I had swept the outdoor mat for the fourth time one day. - DodgeVoltageExplorerI have to wash mine at least 3 times each summer because the humidity here in Maryland causes algae to cover it if I don't. I also wash it before every trip if I haven't done it in a while.
Any suggestions to keep the algae from growing on it? I don't usually wax it due to it's size and the amount of free time I don't have, but would it help? I retire in a couple years, so hopefully having it out on the road more will cut down on the algae. - noe-placeExplorerI wash the MH after returning from every trip with special attention if we've been near the ocean for any length of time. It gets a loving wash, vacuuming, the cockpit gets a fresh coat of protectant and every bug splatter is washed off. Then it goes into my garage until our next trip. Looks pretty good if I do say so.
- NJ6PACKExplorerI do it all the time......clean the TT apply tire shine...even at rest areas while everyone is doing their business in the TT
- atreisExplorerI've never washed my trailer (walls - the solar panel gets washed regularly). It's just not what I want to spend my time doing.

This too shall pass!
Apparently!
I washed mine once this year and it doesn't look like it'll be twice. Getting backed up with things that need done before the snow flies, and washing a trailer at this point isn't on the schedule. If you have time to wash it a lot, it certainly can't hurt, but I have too many other "must do's" to fit in a "should do". There's always next year. The dirt will still be there waiting.
I'm with you on that one. Totally agree! It's all about priorities. - FLY_4_FUNExplorerI wash ours after every trip. I wax it maybe 3 times during the summer. I truly take pride in the rv, and the truck so it gets plenty of care and maintenance.
I also think a clean rv inside and out will bring better resale value years down the road.
Daryll - wbrown62ExplorerI do........and yes, I consider myself anal.
- fly-swatterExplorerMight wash mine two or three times a year then a thorough cleaning before winter sets in. Depends where we go and what the weather is. I have 2 miles of gravel before I hit the pavement.
