The arms of the CCP extend very far. Explains many things I guess.
BTW, which hospital in NYC has actually run out of ICU beds, or regular beds for that matter?
Why should we compare this to the flu, the numbers are hardly comparable it seems. I'll quote this right off the CDC link below. "CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 35.5 million illnesses, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 influenza season. This burden was similar to estimated burden during the 2012–2013 influenza season." They are talking about the USA, not the world. 2017-18...... 80,000 deaths. Oh, but we have a vaccine!!! A vaccine that is 30% effective and gives you a 5% chance of getting sick from the shot. (I know, the EXPERTS say that doesn't happen...... right!)
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2018-2019.html
Also note, in 2018-19 477 CHILDREN died from the seasonal flu.
Wonder if the CDC keeps stats on how many people an economic depression kills?
Again, for those with poor reading skills, I do NOT advocate doing nothing, just modifying some of the things we are doing.
