As a friend said over a month ago, what we have is an "internet pandemic".
So much information is available instantly, with no background, context, verification, or anything. Most "verification" seems to consist of "well, I saw it on the internet".
The big news groups/companies/channels are no better, they put up "news" instantly to beat the next guy... and sooooo many "news" reports are mostly just copies of twitter or facebook posts!!
It seems to me that a lot of politicians are very much caught up in this, and especially with the attitude of "Well, so-and-so did THAT, so I HAVE to do SOMETHING....".
When this is all over, the analysis of what was done and what happened will go on for years. People on both sides will say they were right, and find information and "facts" to back up what they say. Just like always.
I do think we are getting to the point of starting to buy stock now... I think in maybe a month (weeks maybe?) most restrictions will be lifted, and the stock market will come roaring back.
Businesses will reopen, people will get re-hired. It will be rocky for a bit, but by next year (unless something else happens) we will be on our way again.
