I am sure there is not going to be anything reliable enough to change your mind. Testing data is sparse. Even in the NYC epicenter, testing is only available for people with symptoms and those often need to be severe. In the absence of data, 1% is being used as the estimated death rate.
In NY the number of deaths is over 5000, 18000 have been hospitalized and 4600 are currently on ventilators.

As a quick estimate, if the death rate is 1%, and 1/3 of the US population becomes infected, then there will be 1 million deaths and at least 3x that number will require hospitalization. Obviously no one has reliable data for what might happen. We can only guess based on what has happened so far, early on in the process.
