Best WD adjustment, first, and TV tire pressure, second (as the TT is always sidewall maximum).
Best TV shock absorbers (KONI or BILSTEIN)
Adding shock absorbers and better leaf-sping equalizers on the TT is one consideration, and (the all around better) torsion flex TT axles above that. The increase in wheel travel and resistance to tripping hazards can be felt in the way it handles lousy roads.
Trip planning is also indicated. Best safe practice is to be out of the vehicle for 10-15" every two-hours or 100-miles. Plan the stops in advance. At the four-hour mark, be out for 45=60". I usually plan the fuel stop for the four hour mark, and then may drive a short distance to a rest area for a meal. There are plenty of aids to planning out there.
