We put carpet in the trailer to warm up the floor on the cold nights and to keep the dogs from slipping on the slick flooring. Every couple of days I will use a small Dirt Devil hand vac to clean it up. We will sweep the big mat if it is out or shake the small rug in front of the steps.
Why do it, for the same reason we clean up after a meal. It looks better than letting it build up and takes little effort. It also means less stuff that needs to be brushed out of the dogs fur. That takes longer than vacuuming does.
