As a matter of fact, I was feeling a little insulted about the fact that no Bad Guys thought me worthy of doing whatever it is that I'm supposed to be afraid of...but just recently I got my very first letter from Nigeria! I'm finally a member of the club :B
Truth is, I use my real name on all correspondence, even/especially in public forums like this one. Helps to keep me at least reasonably polite, for one thing....my Mother might be listening in, y'know?
Also, though- as we all know- there's no real anonymity anymore anyway. Using the real instead of an alias is a constant reminder not to reveal personal information such as trip schedules etc. It really surprises me how much people tell about their lives on boards like this, and I think that loose-lips-ness is partly due to their (mistaken) belief that nobody knows who/where they are.
In my universe, I TELL people who/where I am...and nothing else.
