Man, someone needs a snickers bar! Nowhere in the article does it mention the age of the trooper. And the term "elder" was used in the context just to describe which one of the two gentlemen, both with the same last name, was driving. Would you have been offended if the younger man was driving and the article stated "younger"? Oh, and I agree completely with schlep.
