You have made my day uh or hr or min but I did the same thing but in my super c.
Getting ready to take it to the dealer for warranty work I jumped in upped all jacks after my pre-flight checks Drove out my 300 ft gravel driveway -- no neighbors-- no cars. Turned rt on country road for 2&1/2 mile seeing no cars and no one out and about. Turned left on main state road still no one out and about and no cars in either direction.
On a slight right hand curve I saw the large ($300) RAT TAIL cord and the, I think, Large Progressive ($400) elec thingy trailing alone.
Still no cars from either directions and no one out and about. I then turned into a 1/2 moon shaped turn around and rolled up my ruined cord and ruined elec. thingy. NO ONE SAW ME so what cord and what thingy are we talking about? LOL.
I bought the new cord at the dealer and after I arrived back home I contacted the Manf of the elec thingy to order another. I really don't remember but I think it was PROGRESSIVE out of Florida.
Told them what happened and that I needed to order another. They said they would replaced my elec protector AT NO CHARGE. They did just that. Now that is customer service with a crown on top.
I have not confessed up to this to anyone so let's keep it a secret and not tell any one. LOL:
