The place I usually go to, I walk in and get an appointment usually in a week. When I take it in, they start on it right away and if it needs parts, they roll it out and lock it.
Another place I take it, you make an appointment, now 6-8 weeks out and drop it and leave and then they get to it when they can. Needless to say, I don't take it there except to get my propane tank. They told me it would be the middle of the month for me to get to get an estimate on replacing the towbar that came off the toad the other day. So far almost $3K to the front end where it pulled loose and torqued to one side. Pushed the bumper up into the front fenders and shoved them back so that you can hear the doors scrape when they open. Haven't been able to get it up into the air to see what the frame looks like where the base plates fastened on.
I take my airplane to "Jiffy Lube" for service. they do a great job. :S
