This stuff happens far more often than it's reported. This one made the news because someone caught it on video. The last time we were there we saw an elk buck charge 2 elderly women that were walking up to it to get a photo. Fortunately he backed off just before he hit them. It was just a warning. People think because it's a national park it's like a zoo. It never occurs to them that it's a real wilderness.

Wonderful to see this! Hope it knocks some sense in some tourists.

Too bad the dude didn't have his "camera" oriented properly, we might have actually seen it!

I guess the elk never read the rules about dealing with tourists! :S
