I had decided to sell our Travel Trailer, so took it to a consignment dealer for them to sell. This past weekend, someone took our trailer from the location. Now our insurance company, Nationwide, will not pay. They have an exclusion in their/my policy that excludes coverage if there is theft from a consignment dealer.Please review your policies for this exclusion if you are thinking of letting a dealer sell your camper/RV.I am open for suggestions as to any recourse from anyone for my loss. I will be discussing this with the dealer although our selling agreement states that they are not responsible.Thanks Wm

Did you hear this from a company claims adjuster, or the agent? If the later I'd call nationwide direct after reading the policy or endorsement.

A little rough on the poster, I'd say, who was just reminding folks to check their insurance before leaving it on a lot. Heck, I never check mine before doing everything I do.
