Once, while camping at our favorite State Park, there was a group of young campers in a Yurt about 4 campsites away. They were blasting music that I could hear clear across the street and down a couple of sites. I walked over and calmly and in as nice a way as I could muster I asked them to turn down the music as everyone around them probably doesn't share their taste in music. They listened very politely, apologized and turned the music down immediately. I was very pleased with my interpersonal skills and later that day I told my wife about the whole interaction. She asked if I was wearing my green Austrailian bush hat. I said, of course, why would she ask that? She replied' "They probably thought you were the Park Ranger." I still chuckle when I think back on it.
