We try very had to keep our kids quiet after dark. It actually helps that we have a popup, because they get to hear how well everyone else can hear them when they are loud. Fortunately, we've only had one really negative experience. This was before we got the camper and my DW and I were tent camping at a state park. About 8 PM, a group of about 8 college-aged people came in 3 sites down from us and started setting their tents up. By 10, they were reasonably set up and pretty much drunk. Then the fun starts...yelling, fighting, and building the biggest fire I've ever seen in a CG. Tried the after-hours number with no luck. This went on until about 1 when their firewood ran out. This only presented a small problem as they proceeded to cut small trees and limbs from larger trees. Apparently, someone got through to the park staff as one of the park rangers (the sworn kind with a gun and badge) showed up. It looked like he issued a number of citations and then stood by while they packed up, cleaned up, and departed. I was very happy to see him walk around the entire site making them pick up every scrap of paper/trash.
