A few years back we were camping in the OBX over July 4th. A group of young campers all packed up and left and put all of their trash into the dumpster. Not long after I notice smoke coming from the dumpster. One of the items they threw away was a grill, with the hot coals still inside. Local FD came and put out the fire. The owner appreciated it when I let them know. He said he would be in contact with them about the damage.
