Ok I had my first blowout this camping trip. I am running 205/75/r14 Goodyear marathon. They are 4 years old now. I normally run them at 45psi. Should I go ahead and replace them all or can I get some more life out of them? Tread depth is almost new. Should I go back with Goodyear or another brand? Thanks Michael
For safety and peace of mind---replace all your tires. People can get 4 to 6 years out of a set of tires but after 4 yrs. you are playing at the******table in Las Vegas. I change all tires at 5 yrs. regardless what shape they appear to be in unless I have a tire problems, then I throw them away right away. The safety of your family and your RV in my opinion is paramount.
As previously stated:
1. Switch to the largest size rim 15' or 16, the highest rated capacity E or G that will fit on your RV. I like the Goodyear "G" rated tire on a 16" rim.
If you choose to keep rolling the dice, be sure you have Good Sam Emergency Road Side plan.
