Anti-sway/equalizer hitch issues

Question

We recently went from a pop-up to a travel trailer, 2012 Cross Roads Boundary Waters, my husband has a 2011 ram 1500, and we got a pro series anti-sway/equalizer hitch for it for safety. He has been trying for hours over the past couple of days to get it set-up, using the instructions, watching youtube videos, and yet the camper is still sitting up at too high of an angle causing sway and it's on the lowest possible setting for the hitch. He's very frustrated, please help!

if the hitch is adjustable - turn upside down flip ball to the other side. Or get a drop hitch receiver and flip it

Make sure most of trailer weight is at the front of the trailer.

About 15% of the TT weight should be on the tongue. Like mentioned in previous post TT frame should be level with ground. Either raise or lower the vehicle hitch to accomodate.

Sounds like the truck sits up too high. No  anti-sway/equalizer hitch  will fix that. Go to a hitch shop or RV dealer and get a shank for the receiver that will allow you to lower the hitch.
