Ants IN the toilet

This is a new one for us. Driving south from Ontario we dewinterized our 5th wheel in Tennessee. After rolling south for a couple of days my wife opened the toilet lid one morning to find about 50 ants scurrying around in the bowl. Not beside the toilet - IN it!
If anyone knows how this happens I'd love to hear the answer. (And any sure fire ant preventive techniques.)

Happy New Year from Sanibel!

  • Same thing happened to me once. After speaking with their leader, turns out they all had too much to drink & decided to go "skinny dipping".

    :B :S :p

Sorry no feedback... this is a weird one so I will go with the answer above.
  • Ants infested the water line somehow when it was de-winterized and were carried into the toilet bowl.

You found them inside the toilet bowl. They may have been crawling up the outside, unseen, and are there for the water. (They can only live a few days without water.)
