Yes, purchased mine 3 years ago for my 2000, 22' Nomad. Although my TT was considered a "lite" in those days, it comes in at 5,650 lbs loaded.I also use the HF anti-sway bar. I have had no issues with either product by Haul-Master.I'm pretty sure you're going to get a lot of negatives on this subject & suggestions to purchase a different brand, but my experience has been positive. There are many things I won't purchase from HF, but we all know what those items typically are. PS: I took the hitch to an RV dealer here in town & they installed it for me without hesitation.

My son has used one for the last 3 years. I used one for a year. No problems

I wore out my Reese after 80K miles towing an 11K lb toy hauler (the head wore where the spring bars mount). I currently tow a an 8K lb enclosed trailer with the HF hitch but only have about 10K miles on it (no problems so far). I still use the Reese head for dead tongue weight loads where I don't need a WDH but need a 2-5/8" ball.

This is the same hitch I purchased two years ago. In early 2014 I added a set of Straptek. I used this combo all summer and the hitch performed great.I have around 350 bucks in a setup that has put that $600 Blue Ox to shame.

I have used dual friction for years towing over 250000 miles and would not use anything else, Brother in law has used a HF WD for 4 years with no issues

I have a no-name WDH and 2 no-name friction bars that I tow my TT with and they've both performed flawlessly in the 3 years I've had them. I got them from Princess Auto which I believe is sort of the Western Canadian equivalent to Harbor Freight.

Needed a wet tile cutter to do a stainless tile job. Will probably never use it again. Choices: one from Home Depot for 100 - 150. Or one from HF for 50. Like you said they have diamonds for different people and jobs. Hope the hitch is a good one for ya.

I am sure it is fine but if spending money I would opt for a sway control hitch vs just the friction control.
