I appreciate everyone's comments.
I found out today that the street legal ATB (oreion reeper) I was thinking of purchasing and trailering is extremely hard to get insured for on road use. Two companies will insure them for $1K+ per year. Does not make sense for a part time driver behind a motorhome.
I believe we will switch gears and look for a mid-90's Geo Tracker or Suzuki SideKick to Dinghy tow. The weight looks well within acceptable limits (close to what I was looking at for the other) and will mean a lot less green out of the pocket for both the vehicle and insurance.
Now just have to find a 4x4 one in really good condition. Thanks again for all the comments.
