Really? The trucks is rated for 13,700 as is. Not sure how reliable the trailerlife tow rating book is but it doesn't say a thing about WD or any other limitations on the stock truck.

You might want to check the stock receiver if that is what is on your truck as they almost always have two values. One for towing with weight distribution and one for towing on the ball. The values have nothing to do with 13,700 pounds or whatever yours really is. It has to do with max allowable tongue weight. And often the value is about half for towing without weight distribution.
